►Terminator Movie Reviews https://silverscreenguide.podbean.com/category/terminator-reviews/
5 years after the underwhelming Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Sarah and John Connor received a second chance to stop Judgement Day, but this time on the small screen. Completely ignoring the events of Terminator 3, series creator Josh Friedman gave audiences an experience more akin to the original duology. Receiving some of the highest viewer ratings (at the time) on the Fox channel, this new Terminator show was a smash hit but unceremoniously was canceled after only two seasons. Is this seemingly forgotten Terminator entry the sequel we've always wanted? Join Corbin as he reviews Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to find out! Subscribe to the podcast so you won't miss the full review!
Question after the show: Is Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles actually one of the best parts of the Terminator franchise that very few know about?

5 years after the failed 5th installment in the Terminator series, a brand-new reboot is back (for the third time), and this time it's a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Also, after 29 years, James Cameron, the creator of the Terminator is back to give story direction to the latest film. While this film ended up being a flop at the box-office, it still received critical praise and audiences were fine with it. The Terminator has been around for 35 years, has spawned six films with half of those being reboots hoping to spawn new trilogies of their own. So is this second film in the second decade of the second millennium another failed entry or is it actually the best installment since T2? Join Corbin and Allen as they discuss Terminator Dark Fate to find out!

After Terminator Salvation failed to garner enough profits to warrant a sequel--the studio that newly acquired the property decided to do a fresh reboot. While this film draws upon the original source material--it goes in a wild new direction no Terminator fan could have imagined. So in some ways it is a sequel but it's also a remake/reimagining. At the time considered the most scorned film in the franchise--now upon it's fifth anniversary--most viewers have softened on this light-hearted take. But are Corbin and Allen giving this toyetic version a pass or are they handing it over to the T-800 for Judgement Day? Join them as they review Terminator Genisys!

6 years after the surprisingly successful Terminator 3--John Connor is back but from the future! The very first Terminator film to fully take place after Judgement Day; the year is 2018 and the Resistance is on the brink of winning the war against the Machines. Fully loaded with spectacular practical effects and Batman himself, Christian Bale, the film seemed destined to be a winner...except it wasn't. Universally despised by critics, under-performing at the box office and a mild reception by audiences it was clear the franchise had fallen out of popular opinion. What was supposed to be the beginning to a brand-new trilogy, instantly spiraled toward an unknown future. After 11 years has Terminator Salvation actually become the best film in the entire series or is this take too Mad Maxian for the Machines to handle? Join Corbin and Allen as they review Terminator Salvation to find out!
Join the discussion-Comment below! Question after the show: Is this moreso a Terminator movie or a Mad Max movie? Why or why not? Also, would you like to see a sequel to this entry?

A new decade; a new millennium. If you thought it was a long wait between the first and second Terminator films well how about waiting 12 years for a third installment! That's right listeners, after the blowout success of T2, shockingly the studios involved didn't immediately capitalize on the success but rather waited over a decade. A lot happened between T2 and T3--James Cameron was out, Linda Hamilton was out, and Arnold Schwarzenegger was on the cusp of becoming the Governor of California. This time the stakes are even higher, Judgment Day wasn't stopped, it was simply protracted. With a new cast and crew, the first ever female Terminator and finally the rise of the machines is this critically lauded installment third time's the charm or is it a pile of T-800 skeletons? Join Corbin and Allen as they give their review of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines to find out!
Join the discussion-Comment below! Question after the show: Was it a mistake to not bring James Cameron and Linda Hamilton back or does this movie prove the series is just fine without them?

7 long years after James Cameron's critically acclaimed (100% on Rotten Tomatoes) sophomore directorial feature, he said he would be back and he sure is with a bang! Terminator 2, or T2, as it's come to be known, has become an American cultural icon. This film has aged so well it has been firmly planted within the top 50 greatest films of all time. Removing nostalgia and the zeitgeist hype does this film actually deserve to be considered one of the last great films of the millennium? Join Corbin and Allen as they bring you their highly anticipated review of Terminator 2: Judgement Day!

36 years ago, audiences first saw what would become a cultural icon...Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator. Up-and-coming director, James Cameron, blended part horror, part science-fiction thriller to create a film that would launch a worldwide phenomenon that is still prevalent many decades later. With signature catchphrases like, "I'll be back", Cameron and Schwarzenegger would bolster themselves as the hottest Hollywood ticket. Despite this being a highly beloved film, does it hold up long past Judgement Day? Join Corbin and Allen as they review The Terminator to find out!
