►Start with your guide to TENET https://silverscreenguide.podbean.com/e/your-guide-to-tenet-2020/
After Christopher Nolan's major war epic Dunkirk, in true Nolan fashion, he wanted to take that epic scope to make an international spy thriller. Being one of his closest guarded films, audiences had very little idea of what Tenet would actually be about...some guessed it may actually be a secret sequel to Inception. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, that secret remained a little longer as the film was pushed back multiple times due to theaters closing and the fear of poor box office returns. Finally, Tenet did come out in theaters in 2020, making it one of the biggest (and few) releases of the year. While it was met with positive critical reaction, word of mouth spread about how the dialogue was difficult to hear and it was so confusing it was best left to decipher on home video with subtitles, play, pause, and rewind. So is Tenet actually a work of genius or does the Emperor have no clothes? Join Corbin and Allen as they unlock the secrets of what is arguably Nolan's most divisive and confusing film TENET.
Question after the show: Is Tenet needlessly convoluted?

C.S. Lewis is regarded not only for his renowned theology, but also for his popular writings. With its beginnings as a children's fantasy book series, The Chronicles of Narnia didn't see it big until Walt Disney got ahold of the rights to make a feature-length movie in the early 2000's. After seeing the success of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, The Lion, the Witch and Wardrobe was sure to hit it big with audiences. But does its success still hold true 15 years after its release?

Where does Nolan go after Batman?...well he goes to space in a time bending epic with Matthew McConaughey! In a grand gesture to show his true prowess as a filmmaker, Nolan attempts his most ambitious film to date with this three hour long sci-fi journey! At the time, audiences were less than thrilled with this film; today, it's considered the 30th greatest film of all time! But is this space odyssey truly a masterpiece or overly pretentious space trash? Join Corbin and Allen as they review Interstellar to find out!

Only 2 years after Nolan released his billion dollar film The Dark Knight, he seemed on track to do it again. While Inception came just shy of grossing a billion at the worldwide box office, it quickly became one of the most successful and beloved independent properties of all time; it also further bolstered Nolan as one of the most inventive storytellers of our generation. Both Corbin and Allen saw this in the theater opening weekend (in fact, Corbin saw it twice), but 10 years later has some of the creative charm worn off or is the dream world a delight to rediscover all over again? Join Corbin and Allen as they review Inception to find out!
Join the discussion-Comment below! Question after the show: Will inception ever become a possibility...in the dream world of course! Why or why not?

3 years after audiences were begging for a sequel to Batman Begins, Christopher Nolan brought his vision of the dark knight and the clown prince of crime to the big screen. In the interim, audiences did get their Nolan fix albeit it in a mediocre performing period piece about warring magicians, but no one saw coming how massive a success The Dark Knight would be! Raking in over 1 billion dollars at the world-wide box office, at the time this was Nolan's biggest budget, widest release, greatest critical acclaim, biggest opening weekend and it garnered eight Academy Award nominations! Today, IMDb members have rated this the 4th greatest film of all time! But, 12 years later, does this dark take on the caped crusader hold up or has the cultural phenomenon worn off? Join Corbin and Allen as they review The Dark Knight to find out!
